I’m frustrated.

I just found out I can’t afford the garage expansion I was hoping for. I’ve been trying to get a bigger garage for years. Now it seems like I can’t do it.

I can’t just move to a different place with a bigger garage.
There isn’t enough space to build another structure.
The existing garage is simply not big enough.

I should learn to appreciate what I have... first world problems... deal with it... etc.

I just need to vent somewhere that people will understand why this might be important.

You just need more organizational skills. I can fit a boat, car two motorcycles, two bicycles, extra set of tires and more in a my two car garage.

Gotta look at it and say to yourself  challenge accepted .

do most of the work yourself, problem solved....

Well that’s what worked for me when I added a story to my house.

we lifted the house 15 feet in the air, build a new slab and new story then sat the old house on top of the new.

I did everything myself, except jacking the house, laying the cement and sealing the joints in the drywall.

It’ll be quite trick getting it up the narrow stairs.

It would be a shame if there was a fire, and you collected a lot of insurance money.

Balloon candle and string. Oh, and a propellant.

Have you considered doing a ‘ bump out ’ on your own? If you can build a shed, you can build a bump out. They work great for extra space, as long as you don’t need to put something as heavy as a car in the space.

Kinja'd!!!

I also need more space, and can’t do the whole thing, so I’ve been looking at a nice 5x20 foot bump out down the side.

A 14x20 bump out that I could drive through would be impressive.

Wow that’s incredible, and the final result looks beautiful. Should’ve kept the door up top that leads to no where to kick out unwanted guests!
